Hi I’m Mel, and I love small business!
I have been running my own small businesses since 2012, when I started up my first product based online business Outdoor Beanbags. Since starting Outdoor Beanbags, it was a steep learning curve, often just winging it and hoping that what I was doing was OK!!
I was blessed enough to be in some Business Coaching for one of our other businesses at the time, where I learnt very quickly that I had no business foundations. I was trying to grow my business on very shaky ground AND I was caring too much about what my competitors were doing! I didn’t take any time to discover and document my own business foundations.
Through applying the training I received, I realized that there were too many small and micro businesses that were also in the same boat… I had been to many workshops but I struggled to apply the teaching in those workshops to my own business.
This is where the seed for Little Biz started germinating in my life. I sat down and created a whole workshop series that I could share with my fellow small and micro business owners.
No longer do small and micro businesses need to wander around unsure of what they are doing… no more spraying everyone with your marketing efforts and wasting your time and money! Once you have completed our Little Biz Foundations workshops, you will know who you are, who your business is, who your customers are, where they are and how you speak to them. You will be able to aim that marketing arrow at your target market and hit the mark much easier as you will be able to see the target clearly!
Little Biz Foundations is a series of 5 workshops to help you discover and document YOUR Little Biz Foundations, though simple, hands on, practical workshop sessions. We give you personalized assistance for your own situation and business type.
Online Course or Live Training available – Join our online course to work through the workshops at your own pace, or book us to deliver some simple, face-to-face workshops, in person or via zoom.
Learn from the learnt experiences of Mel – Mel has a raft of knowledge and experience in the small and micro business space. Presented in an easy to understand way, Mel will walk you through Little Biz Foundations in small manageable steps.
Feeling of Success – you will be doing the work in the workshop time, so you finish the workshop feeling productive because you have completed your Little Biz Foundations.
Building on the Previous Workshop – our content is delivered in manageable bite sized pieces. Each workshop builds on what you did in the workshop before – and you will use everything we do together.
Building your Foundations to Grow – once you have completed Little Biz Foundations, you will have a clear idea of your business, who you are and who your customers are, an avatar, and ways to promote your business through branding and marketing to your customer.
