Want to build your own website, but not keen on the techy setup? Never fear, Little Biz is here!
Our DIY website setup takes care of the technical foundations, so you can skip straight to the fun part: designing your pages and making your website your own.
If you’re still deciding whether DIY is right for you, start with Should You Build Your Own Website? A Web Designer’s Take.
You design it, we handle the tech
I often have clients come to me who just need WordPress set up on their hosting and the structure created, ready for them to take over the design.
We install WordPress, add a lightweight theme, the Elementor page builder, and plugins for SEO, backups and security. We create your pages, set up your menus, header and footer, add basic Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages, and hand you the keys with your own admin login.
Then it’s over to you.
Three ways our clients use it
How it looks depends on how much of a head start you’d like:
- The blank canvas. Some clients just want the structure. Their pages are created and named, their menus are in, and they design every page themselves from scratch.
- A Little Biz template to start from. Others like a head start, so we add our templates to their pages. Instead of staring at a blank page, they’re editing a layout and making it their own.
- A template built from your inspiration. And some come with a clear idea of what they want, whether it’s a website they love or a look they’ve pulled together. I create a template based on their inspiration, ready for them to pop their content in and go.
Why we use Elementor
I’ll be upfront: our DIY websites are built with Elementor. It’s a drag and drop page builder that sits on top of WordPress, so you can design your pages visually and edit text and images without touching any code.
I use it because it’s easy for clients to pick up, it’s flexible, and there’s loads of help online if you get stuck. If you’ve used Elementor before, you’ll feel right at home. If you haven’t, you’ll get access to our training videos to help you find your way around.

What’s not included
Both options are a setup only, so adding your content, colours, logo and images is over to you. If you’d like us to help with any of that, the extra time is charged at our hourly rate.
Full details are on our WordPress website pricing page.
Help when you need it
Getting stuck is all part of the DIY journey. If you hit a roadblock, we’re available for ad-hoc website assistance to help with just the bit that’s tripping you up.
And once your website is live, it’ll need regular updates to stay secure. You can run these yourself, or we can take care of them for you each month.
